We’ll be playing one show during the nightmare/daydream week that is SXSW. Saturday 3/20 at Shiner Saloon, 3PM. I’ve never been there, but I heard they have a cool patio. More details soon. Come hang out!

In exciting Visitors news, I’m really happy to report that we hungout last weekend and ate pizza and drank beers and listened to records. Dave laid on the hard floor with headphones on. He was really feelin’ it, maaaaaaan.

If you’re old like me and hate staying out late but love free beer, come out to Beerland on Wednesday the 16th for this Do512.com/Better Than The Van/Bandize “happy hour” thing we’re playing. I’m not sure what the occasion is, but the show is free and there will be free Lone Star and I know you like that. The show is early early, and we play at 7:30pm.

so, i have noticed that los visitors have not posted anything in a while, and while i’m procrastinating, i thought i’d provide a quicky update? nick and jason work for the legislative council, and when the man is in session, those two visitors are working hard. last i heard, jason racked up 83 hours comp time in a couple of weeks, and there’s no telling what nick’s gotten himself into. that’s not true. i know. louis is a co-owner/operator of two very fine culinary enterprises (check the links), and that dude has got to be hustling. as for myself, i’m reading, writing, and working, the three “r“s of liberal arts.

but, not to worry. if you haven’t heard, visitors are kicking out some new jams! there may or may not be a show mid-may, with young love, where all yous could have a listen. watchout.

SXSW

SXSW is upon us and it is already awesome. A lot of locals complain about all the out-of-towners, but I always have fun this week making a bunch of new friends, hearing new music and getting 3 hours of sleep.

We’ll be spending most of the week checking out other bands, but we do have one show ourselves. Its an unofficial SXSW wrap party/birthday party of sorts on Sunday, the 22nd, at 1906 Studios, located at 3rd & Chicon. Also on the bill are New York’s So So Glos and DJ Ben Blood. The party is free, and your best friend FREE BEER will be there. Things should get started around 7PM. We will be playing some new songs you’ve never heard before. Come out! Bring your friends!

coffee grinder

i’m no coffee connoisseur, but i recently bought some whole beans and a grinder. i’ll tell you what… freshly ground coffee tastes good! however, i am having a difficult time finding the equilibrium between not grinding the beans enough and grinding them too much.

that’s what i’ve got for this maiden blogage.

oh, and the new jams are bad! watchout!

Must take tambourine out of house when recording vocals. Who turned up the sensitivity on this thing? I swear it makes a noise just from looking at it funny.

How was Heath Ledger’s family able to accept the Academy Award on his behalf without completely falling apart? I had tears in my eyes just from their walk up to the stage.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman was probably crying way before I was though. Did anyone else hear Alan Arkin call him Seymour Phillip Hoffman?
